A devastating incident has shaken the Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ) as a veteran pilot, Squadron Leader (retired) Ritswanetsi Vuyo Ncube, lost his life in a tragic fighter jet crash on Friday, May 30. The F-7 fighter aircraft went down in the Wazheri area along the Gweru-Mvuma Road during a routine training mission, sending shockwaves through the military community.
Squadron Leader Ncube, a highly respected and experienced pilot, had returned from retirement to continue serving in the Air Force, sharing his expertise with young pilots at Josiah Tungamirai Air Force Base.
