INTERNATIONALLY-ACCLAIMED gospel musician Pastor Travis Greene, who made his debut in Zimbabwe last year, is set to perform in the country on the first of December.
The four-time Grammy Award nominee will grace Harare’s Celebration Centre at a show dubbed ‘Celebrate Zimbabwe’, which will feature another revered American gospel musician, Phil Thompson.
“Pastor Greene will be performing in the country again, on the 1st of December at Celebration Centre. Pastor Greene toured some of Harare’s iconic places such as Mbare and he fell in love with the country, which has prompted his return.
It’s very important to bring such big artistes into the country because it’s a platform for local artistes to network and learn from internationally acclaimed musicians whom they look up to. Our local artistes also have a lot to offer which foreign artistes can also tap into,” he said.
Local musicians who are billed to perform at the Celebrate Zimbabwe Concert include Joyful Praise Choir, Takesure Zamar Ncube, Pastor Bonnie Deuschle, as well as the South Africa-based duo of Jesse Priestly and Nokwe the Poet.
Pastor Travis Greene is famed for hits which include ‘Hold on Me’, ‘Made a Way’ and ‘Nara’ a collaborative act with Nigeria’s Tim Godfrey.
