In Utsiwegota Village, located in ward 08 of the Murewa North Constituency, a 22-year-old man was tragically k!lled by a lightning strike while herding cattle.
Murewa TV reported that Misheck Nyauye was out in the grazing fields when the storm struck.
His friend, Anold Gutu, who was also herding cattle nearby, discovered Misheck’s lifeless body after the storm subsided.

Anold described hearing the terrifying crack of lightning coming from the direction where Misheck was located, prompting him to check on his friend.
Reliable sources also confirmed that Misheck was instantly k!lled by the lightning strike.
In the aftermath, Anold urged the community to heed warnings from the Zimbabwean Weather Services (MET Department), emphasizing the importance of safety during storms.
He described the lightning as frightening and urged residents to remain vigilant in such weather conditions.
