Police in the Northern Cape in South Africa have arrested three foreign nationals in connection of fraud allegations.
The trio allegedly defrauded a woman of nearly R500 000.
According to South Africa’s police spokesperson Omphile Masegela, the arrest of the trio came to light after the polices acted on a tip-off followed up on crime intelligence about suspects in the process of defrauding the woman which lead to their arrest.
Masegela says, “She confirmed the information and that an amount of R480 000.00 had already been paid to them.
The three foreign national men were apprehended 40km outside Olifantshoek on Thursday, the 18 July 2024 and they were found with R345 000 in cash.
The three are in custody and will appear in court soon.”
The v!ctim gave the suspects the money to pray for it to increase.
