Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the individual involved in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump on Saturday, July 13.
Unfortunately, the sho0ter was k!lled by the Secret Service.
During the incident, two others were !njured namely ; Corey Comperatore, 50, of Sarver, Pennsylvania, who was kill3d in the sho0ting, and two others, David Dutch, 57, of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and James Copenhaver, 74, of Moon Township, Pennsylvania.
The FBI has taken the lead in investigating the sh0oting as an attempted assassination of the former president and has not yet identified a motive behind the attack.
In a statement on Monday, the FBI revealed that they had accessed Crooks’ phone and searched his computer as part of their investigation.
Interestingly, it was reported that a threat from Iran prompted the U.S. Secret Service to increase security measures around Donald Trump ahead of Saturday’s attempted assassination.
However, authorities have since clarified that Crooks’ attempt appears to be unrelated to this threat.
