Two men have confessed to having m_rdered 16-year-old Mathew, who was found hanging back in September. The m_rderers confessed that they k!lled him and made it look like a s_icide to raise no questions.
On the 23rd of September, 2023, Mathew was found hanging by his family, and everyone assumed that he had committed s_icide. His family quickly buried him the next day in the village as per customs on s_icide victims.
However, just two months after the incident, two brothers, Never and Thomas Ratinina, have confessed to k!lling the 16-year-old. The two approached Mathew’s family and admitted that they k!lled him for caressing their sister, whom Mathew was dating at the time of his d3ath.
The Paureni family then approached Chief Muusha, and the two admitted to having m_rdered the boy at his court publicly. They confessed to disguising their act as a s_icide. Never and Thomas revealed that they had been tormented by Mathew’s ghost, leading to their confession. They confessed the hope that they may finally find peace and that Mathew may rest and leave them alone.
Mathew’s relatives have their wounds reopened after learning of the crime committed. They are in pain because Mathew was k!lled for caressing his lover. The family regrets not taking the matter to the police and having a post-mortem done.
Paureni’s family members wish they had not trusted that Mathew would k!ll himself and bring his killers to justice earlier. The police had also not been involved in the matter because there was no post-mortem, and the family did not report the d3ath.
The chief is set to make his judgement on Saturday.
