The detectives from CID Dr-gs and Narcotics in Macheke, Mutare have successfully worked on a tip-off and managed to arr3st two individual in connection with unlawful possession of d@gga. The two individuals were identified as Tilon Makaenda and Albert Shayamuranda aged 25 and 47 respectively.
On 02 February, 2025, the detectives acted on a tip-off that led to the arr3st of the two dru_g peddlers all from Chawaranga Farm in Village 5, Macheke.
According to Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP)’s memo, Newsreportzim.com has learned the arr3st of Tilon Makaenda and Albert Shayamuranda and police recovered over three kilograms of cannabis.
“On 02/02/25, Police in Macheke acted on a tip-off and arr3sted Tilon Makaenda (25) for unlawful possession of d@gga in Village 5, Chiwarange Farm, Macheke. Approximately 300 grams of cannabis were recovered from the suspect’s pockets.
“Further investigations led to the arr3st of Albert Shayamuranda (47) and the recovery of approximately three kilograms of cannabis, which were concealed in three plastic bags hidden in the suspect’s wardrobe,” police memo reads.
