Midlands province police have arrested two women from Siachengwa village, Gokwe North, following the discovery of substantial quantities of dagg@ at their homestead.
Rosemary Siangumbula (47) and Queen Sijima (39) appeared in court after being apprehended on August 15 by officers on patrol who acted on a tip-off.
Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed that police discovered the women, who are co-wives of a man named John Mudenda (51), in possession of illegal substances.
During the operation, Siangumbula’s hut was searched, leading to the recovery of four 20-litre buckets and a small plastic bag filled with prepared dagga, while a sack containing loose dried dagg@ was found in Sijima’s hut.
Although the street value of the seized dr_gs has not yet been determined, Mahoko reiterated the seriousness of dr_g-related offenses, warning the public against engaging in the sale or possession of dangerous dr_gs without a proper license.
