Police in Chegutu are currently investigating the tragic de_ths of Sekai Antonio, aged 59, and Alice Zhuwao, 54, whose bodies were discovered under suspicious circumstances at Stockdale Farm on September 8, 2024.
The two women had been reported missing just two days earlier, on September 6, 2024, in the nearby area of Pfupajena, prompting concerns for their safety.
Upon discovery, it was revealed that Sekai’s body exhibited a deep cut on her head along with multiple bruises across her body, indicating signs of foul play.
Alice’s body was located approximately 100 meters away, also showing a deep head wound, which raises further alarm about the nature of their d3aths.
The local police have since taken the necessary steps to transport the remains of both victims to Chegutu Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination, hoping that the findings can provide clarity on this unsettling case.
Meanwhile, in another incident, police in Hwange have issued an appeal for information regarding a male suspect identified only as Usher.
He is being sought in connection with a murder case that unfolded near Chipale River in Lusulu on September 6, 2024, involving the death of 41-year-old Mqondisi Sibanda.
Reports indicate that Usher and Sibanda engaged in a violent altercation over an unspecified issue, which ultimately led to Sibanda’s tragic demise.
His body was found lying lifeless at the scene, featuring a cut on the forehead, adding to the urgency of the investigation.
Police are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and report to the nearest police station.
