Ambassador Uebert Angel is trending on social media following a video showcasing his accurate prophecy of Ivory Coast’s victory over Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.
The charismatic evangelical preacher, Ambassador Uebert Angel, boldly declared that Ivory Coast would emerge victorious in the tournament it was hosting after he interceded with God to alter an earlier prophecy and reverse Nigeria’s victory.
Ambassador Angel, who also serves as Zimbabwe’s Presidential Envoy and Ambassador At Large To Europe and the Americas, initially predicted Nigeria’s Super Eagles would defeat the Elephants of Ivory Coast.
However, an individual from Ivory Coast, who saw the initial prophecy, contacted the Ambassador, asking him to intercede for his country before the game commenced. The individual pledged to sow a seed of one million United States Dollars to the ministry.
Following this event, Ambassador Angel intervened with God on behalf of Ivory Coast to reverse the anticipated outcome and issued another prophecy. In the revised prediction, he foresaw, prior to the game, that the Elephants of Ivory Coast would triumph over the Super Eagles of Nigeria following his intercession.
In anticipation of criticism from sceptics, Ambassador Angel explained that he uses such prophecies to attract people to him so that he can guide them to Jesus Christ.
“Why do I give prophecies about football? Especially in private like this? Because I am trying to attract you to me. So that I can lead you to Christ as he has revealed to me. It’s my pull area.”
True to Ambassador Uebert Angel’s bold declaration, Ivory Coast came from behind to defeat Nigeria 2-1 and lift the AFCON 2023 title in the final, held at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
Nigeria’s captain, William Troost-Ekong, had put the Super Eagles ahead seven minutes before the end of the first half, rising highest to powerfully head in from nine yards out following a corner.
However, Ivory Coast fought back and equalized in the second half when Franck Kessie scored a header, left unmarked at the back post from Simon Adingra’s corner.
