A 32-year-old man, Tanaka Zivanai, from Dora Walk, Tredworth, has admitted to the m_rder of 28-year-old Zanele Sibanda in Gloucester earlier this year.
Zivanai pleaded guilty to the charges of m_rder and possession of a bladed article in a public place during his appearance at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday, 27 November, via video link from prison.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, 27 August, at around 1:45 am, when police were called to the junction of Paul Street and Tarrington Road in Tredworth with reports of an att@ck. Zivanai had st@bbed Zanele multiple times, and despite the efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced de@d at the scene.
Following an investigation by the Major Crime Investigation Team, Zivanai was arrested and charged with her m_rder the next day.
He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on 14 January 2025.
