On a twitter post seen by newsreportzim.com, there is a video of some Zim dancehall musicians in a studio who are trying to come up with a track of praising Zimbabwe’s new currency (ZiG)
On his X handle account Chin’ono slammed incompetence musicians who trying to make people believe in a new currency. He wrote the following:
“When you turn to music to make people believe in a new currency😂😂😂”
“Listen, as long as your currency can’t pay for a passport application, can’t buy fuel at a service station, can’t pay for your car customs duty, can’t buy you an airline ticket to Johannesburg, can’t buy you forex in a commercial bank, then it is not a real currency, it is not real money!”
“Zimbabwe’s new currency can’t make you pay for all the services and goods I named above!”
“You can get even 100 Zim dancehall musicians into a studio and give them as many tracks to sing on, it won’t change anything, the ZiG will remain a bogus currency which can’t buy you essential goods or services.”
“A currency is a reflection of what is happening in an economy, not propaganda underpinned by badly produced music!”
“This is the incompetence gene in ZANUPF that I always talk about, grown up men sat and thought they had a plan for the nation.😂😂😂”
“Ukanzi uriZiG, zvakafanana nekunzi urimboko, hautenge chinhu chisvinu, uri zuda!”
