South Africa’s electoral court has dismissed Jabulani Khumalo’s application to be reinstated as Umkonto WeSizwe(MK)’s party president following his replacement by Jacob Zuma.
The court found that Khumalo had delayed in bringing the case and had sent the letter to the IEC himself, which he claimed was forged and a result the court dismissed (with costs) his bid to revoke & set aside the IEC’s recognition of former President Jacob Zuma as the MK party leader.
Khumalo was accused by the court of abus!ng the court process and judicial resources therefore he is to pay respondents costs on the attorney and client scale.
Jabulani Khumalo had previously approached the court accusing Zuma of being appointed party leader fraudently.
