The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a statement condemning the horrific child abu$e incident captured in a viral video that has circulated widely across social media platforms.
In the disturbing footage, a man is seen mercilessly @ssaulting a male juvenile with various objects, including a wire, in a residential area identified as house number 31042 in Eastview, Harare.
Following the public’s outcry and extensive investigations, ZRP successfully apprehended the suspect, Noel Muzenda, aged 39, on October 7, 2024, in connection with this heinous act.
The police have emphasized the importance of community vigilance and have commended citizens for their role in providing invaluable information that led to the swift arrest of the perpetrator.
Authorities are pressing charges against Muzenda, and they are committed to ensuring that justice is served for the victim and that such abhorrent acts of viol3nce are addressed decisively.
The ZRP also encourages anyone with further information related to the case or similar incidents to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
