Ruth Hwara, a 25-year-old University of Zimbabwe graduate, has passed away after battling kidney failure.
Earlier this year, she drew attention by seeking $30,000 for a kidney transplant in India.
Hwara, who studied Business Management at UZ, became ill shortly after graduating and was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
In an interview, she stated, “All my kidneys are no longer functional. Doctors said my condition was caused by high blood pressure.”

Her fundraising team emphasized that her life depended on dialysis, requiring painful 5-hour sessions twice a week.
May her soul rest in peace.
