Vice President Kembo Mohadi has arrived at the Pan African Parliament in Midrand, South Africa, for a key speech at the 12th Annual Conference of Speakers of African National and Regional Parliaments.
This conference, which started last Friday, will end on September 20. It is focused on the African Union’s 2024 theme: “Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century.”
When he arrived, Mohadi was greeted warmly by several important people, including Zimbabwe’s ambassador to South Africa, David Hamadziripi, and Pan African Parliament President Chief Fortune Charumbira.
Other attendees include Clerk Lindiwe Khumalo, Speaker Jacob Mundenda, and Deputy Minister Kuda Mnangagwa.

The conference is happening at the same time as meetings of other Pan-African Parliament groups. It gives African leaders a chance to talk about important issues like education, economic growth, and working together as a region. The Pan-African Parliament helps promote democracy, human rights, and cooperation among African countries.
Chief Fortune Charumbira has worked hard to support the parliament’s goals, especially in education and gender equality. Mohadi’s speech is expected to highlight Zimbabwe’s dedication to education and economic development, as well as the country’s role in fostering regional cooperation. This conference will also allow leaders to share their experiences and ideas for improving education across Africa.
