The Victoria Falls International Airport has reportedly shut down following a bomb scare.
According to SOURCE, the Victoria Falls airport was shut down after they received a call claiming there was a bomb on site.
This reportedly happened just a few minutes before President Emmerson Mnangagwa was due to land.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa was scheduled to attend closing ceremony for a renewable energy conference in Victoria Falls.
At the time of reporting, President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Falcon 7X is said to have returned to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International airport in Harare, where he safely landed.
Meanwhile, due to the bomb scare, aircrafts are failing to land at Victoria Falls International. Kenyan Airways flight from Nairobi was forced to hold for several minutes before diverting to Livingstone
On the other hand, an Air Zimbabwe plane is reportedly on the tarmac at Victoria Falls International Airport and passengers cannot disembark as authorities investigate reports of a bomb.
