Murambinda Police has arrested two juvenile suspects on th3ft charges, bringing an end to a string of burglaries in the area.
The two teenage boys, both Form 3 students, were apprehended after a thorough investigation and are currently being held in custody.
According to the video posted on X, the duo gained entry into the premises through an open window before making off with several valuable items. The stolen goods include a curtain, a transformer, and several cellphones.
One of the suspects was spotted wearing a school blazer, which he confirmed that it was also stolen during the burglary.
The police investigation began after a concerned citizen reported the theft to the authorities. A team of detectives was dispatched to the scene, where they gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses.
The two teenage boys are facing charges of theft and burglary, and are expected to appear in court soon. The police are still investigating other possible connections between the duo and other recent burglaries in the area.
The arrests bring an end to a worrying period of thefts in Murambinda, but authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to prevent future incidents.
