A man who missed his flight due to lateness has expressed a poignant reaction after discovering that the plane he was denied boarding for crashed, k!lling all 61 people on board.
Adriano Assis shared his experience of missing the 11:56 am flight from Cascavel Regional Airport in Paraná to São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport. Assis arrived at the airport by 9:40 am but found no check-in agents present.
After waiting upstairs and having coffee, he hoped for an announcement about his flight but heard nothing.
By 10:30 am, when he came downstairs, he encountered a long line. Despite his efforts to check in by 10:41 am, airport staff refused him entry, citing it was too close to boarding time. Assis argued with the staff, but they held firm.

Tragically, Voepass Airlines flight 2283 crashed behind a condominium in Vinhedo, São Paulo on Friday, kill!ng all 58 passengers and four crew members.
While still at the airport, Assis learned about the crash and the fatalities from the news. Overwhelmed by the news, he later returned to thank the staff who had denied him boarding. He expressed his gratitude, saying that their decision had inadvertently saved his life.
Assis wasn’t the only one affected; ten other passengers who had also been waiting at the wrong gate were unable to board the flight. Many of them have since expressed their thanks for being spared from the tragic accident.
