In the days leading up to December 31, 2024, Winky D, a prominent artist in Zimbabwean dancehall music, encountered a major hurdle that threatened to disrupt his eagerly awaited Crossover Show at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
Prophet Passion Java has claimed responsibility for blocking the event, citing a previous stage performance where Winky D allegedly @tt@cked President Mnangagwa.
According to sources, Winky D had secured the venue as early as May 2024, but Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG), the venue owners, have reportedly prioritized another event on the same date.
This scheduling conflict has left Winky D’s fans in uncertainty about the future of the show.
Despite the challenges, Winky D’s legal team, Tsunga Law International, assured it remains committed to delivering a memorable experience for his fans.
“Winky D remains enthusiastic about delivering an exceptional crossover performance at HICC on December 31, 2024,” they stated.
“However, unexpected external circumstances threaten to disrupt what has been highly anticipated by both Winky D and his fans.”
On a positive note, Winky D recently announced that he will be performing at the SWAN official launch on January 25, 2025, at Rufaro Stadium.
“The Gaffa and Vigilant band will be live at the only launch of SWAN. Come in numbers, musasare pass through and enjoy,” he encouraged his fans.
