Kefilwe Mabote, a prominent luxury influencer, has gained attention not just for her lavish lifestyle but for her transformative spiritual journey.
Recently, she took to her Instagram stories to unveil her decision to part ways with worldly distractions and embrace a renewed connection with God.
In a series of heartfelt posts, Mabote shared how she discovered alarming truths about her past, including her involvement in idolatry, horoscopes, and various social media influences.
She expressed that these distractions had kept her bound without her realizing it, serving as tools that the enemy used to maintain her bondage.
Burning her Versace clothes, particularly items adorned with the brand’s iconic Medusa logo, became a significant act of liberation for her.
“Burning the Medusa face was one of the most freeing and therapeutic things I’ve ever done,” she noted, emphasizing that it helped her dismantle the idols she had unconsciously placed in her heart and that these worldly possessions distracted her from her walk with Jesus.
Mabote’s decision didn’t mean she was rejecting high-end brands. Earlier this January, as she kicked off the new year, she generously gave away clothes, including designer pieces, to her loyal followers. “It’s simply about understanding that these items do not define my identity or purpose,” she explained.

Alongside her reflections on materialism, she delivered a powerful message to certain “wealthy men with no souls” sliding into her Instagram DMs. “I humbly ask you to stop sending me ‘can I get to know you’ messages, assuming I’m still the person you saw on TV—a version of me from a year ago,” she urged, warning that she would expose those who overstep their bounds.
Mabote, who recently appeared in the third season of Netflix’s “Young, Famous & African,” a show that chronicles the lives of African socialites, opened up about her journey to her 1.6 million followers. She hopes to inspire others who may be struggling in darkness, sharing that her path to spiritual liberation has been challenging. It has included a three-month period of fasting to confront the spiritual baggage from her previous marriage.
Reflecting on her newfound insightfulness, she expressed, “I see life differently now and I’ve learned to live with humility.” Ultimately, Mabote’s journey serves as a poignant reminder to her followers about the importance of spiritual vigilance and discernment in their lives.
