A dramatic scene has unfolded in Waterfalls, Harare, capturing the attention of many online. A video making the rounds shows a heated confrontation between a Harare man and a group of punan! traders, who accused him of refusing to pay for services rendered by one of their colleagues.
The incident, which quickly went viral, depicts the women publicly confronting the man and demanding the payment they had agreed upon. In the video, the visibly upset women can be seen explaining the situation to bystanders who gathered to witness the commotion.
The leading woman in the confrontation detailed how the man had solicited her services. However, after spending time with her, he allegedly refused to pay the agreed-upon amount, leading to a heated argument in public. The frustration in her voice was palpable as she recounted the events.
“Imi mukuziva kwatamubatira here. Indava uchitijairira iwewe. Sure kubuda uchimhanya usina kubhadhara? Handei kumba,” she cried out, with some of the other women clutching him to prevent him from escaping.

The women revealed that they had to shout out to passersby that he was an alleged thief to catch him. Their voices rang out in unison, alerting the neighborhood to the unfolding drama. Bystanders quickly formed a crowd, curious and eager to see how the confrontation would resolve.
The video shows the man looking increasingly flustered and cornered as he faced the determined group. The tension was palpable, with the women demanding justice for what they saw as blatant disrespect and dishonesty. Their collective effort was aimed at holding him accountable and ensuring that he paid for the services he had enjoyed.
As the video progresses, the women’s determination only grows. They continued to insist on taking him back to the brothel, which they referred to as the “crime scene,” to face disciplinary action. The man, clearly outnumbered and overwhelmed, had little choice but to comply as they escorted him back.
The incident has sparked a broader conversation online about respect, accountability, and the dynamics between service providers and clients. Comments on social media were varied, with some praising the women for standing up for their rights and others critiquing the public nature of the confrontation.
