A group of disgruntled Zimbabwean mine workers confronted their Chinese employer over delayed salary payments at Ming Chang Sino-Africa Mining Investments in the Midlands.
The altercation was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage and solidarity among viewers.
The footage begins with an excavator operator, identified as Kholwani Dube, still in his work suit, boldly approaching his Chinese boss, demanding answers about their unpaid wages.
The boss responds dismissively, warning, “Stop or I will shoot.”
As tensions escalate, the worker continues his pursuit using a caterpillar, demonstrating his frustration and desperation for the money owed to him and his colleagues.
Despite warnings from other workers who fear for the man’s safety, the situation intensifies dramatically.
The Chinese boss, feeling threatened, ultimately points a gun at the enraged employee and shoots him in the leg.
