Former FC Porto and Al Shabab head coach Vitor Pereira has signed a new deal with the struggling Premier league side Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 56-year-old Portuguese’s new deal in England is valid until June 2026.
“Vitor Pereira has signed in as new Wolves manager until June 2026, agreement sealed,” Fabrizio confirmed.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Wolverhampton Wanderers has paid the exit clause payment to Al Shabab for their coach around £1m.
“Al Shabab receive exit clause payment for their coach around £1m and Wolves statement will follow soon.”
The appointment of Vitor Pereira as the club’s new head coach comes after the top-flight strugglers Wolves decided to sack manager Gary O’Neil following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat by Ipswich Town.
Currently, Wolves are positioned on 19th on the Premier league table with only two wins and three draws to give them nine points.
