Former CCC deputy spokesperson Gift Ostallos Siziba has warned ZANU PF not to provoke citizens after the bail ruling for arrested CCC activists was moved to Thursday, June 27.
In a video posted on X Siziba said:
“To ZANU PF and all the headmasters of chaos, don’t provoke us. ”
Siziba was reacting to the decision by the Harare Magistrates Court to delay the bail ruling for Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activists who were arrested during a demonstration in Harare last week.
The arrest took place last week where Jameson Timba and other Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activists were arrested by police in Harare for allegedly holding an unauthorised political meeting at Timba’s residence.
According to the stament, the activists resisted arrest and threw stones at the police, leading to vi0lent clashes that resulted in several CCC members getting !njured.
Gift Ostallos emphasised that the people will unconditionally stand with the arrested activists and will not back down in their support, despite the challenges they may face.
