South African opposition leader Julius Malema of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) political party has rejected the ANC’s decision to form a government of national unity, as announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Taking to his X, the opposition leader tweeted “We can’t share power with the enemy”.
Julius Malema’s words came after the ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa made an announcement of a GNU involving every political party that won seats in parliament.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) came fourth behind Jacob Zuma’s MK party, the DA, and the ANC, but none of them won a full mandate to govern the country.
