A tragic acc!dent occurred on May 4, 2024, at Fairview Farm in Mutare, resulting in the d3ath of Edmond Mugaba, aged 41.
Mugaba was digging a well approximately 32 meters deep when a tin filled with wet soil struck him on the head. The incid3nt was caused by the loosening of a rope from the windlass.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has launched an investigation into the inc!dent to determine the exact circumstances leading to Mugaba’s d3ath.
Preliminary findings suggest that safety measures may have been inadequate or not properly followed during the well-digging process.
Mugaba’s family and the local community are in sh0ck and mourning following this unfortunate event.
