Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has confirmed that social media personality Lorraine Guyo has pledged to partner with ZBC in television content creation.
The news was confirmed in a Facebook post by ZBC News Online. Lorraine made the announcement after meeting with Acting CEO Mr. Charles Munganasa and Acting Head of Television, News, and Current Affairs Ms. Merit Munzwembiri at Pockets Hill in Harare.
Lorraine rose to fame after a video in which she asked men for proposals went viral on social media. She gained a large following and began releasing skits with her acting partner, Sungura musician Peter Dewa Moyo.
However, some netizens have raised concerns about the development, questioning how she secured the opportunity to partner with ZBC. Critics have suggested that she is better suited for creating skits rather than appearing on national TV.
