Wicknell Chivayo has generously pledged to cover the $10,000 required for 4-year-old Manase Jessie to receive critical heart surgery in India.
Chivayo, a prominent social figure known for his extravagant lifestyle, stepped up after journalist Hopewell Chin’ono shared an urgent appeal for assistance on his social media accounts on Thursday. The message read:
“Manase, a 4-year-old, is reaching out with a heartfelt request for funding. Diagnosed with heart failure in May 2024 by Dr. David at Marina Paediatric Hospital in Botswana, she was referred to Dr. Machawira, a heart surgeon, who stressed that her condition can only be treated in India. The surgery there will cost $10,000. Your compassionate support could be the lifeline she desperately needs.”

In response to Chin’ono’s post, Chivayo announced his commitment to fully fund the young girl’s surgery. He stated, “For the first time, I agree with what @daddyhope has shared and will support it. I am prepared to pay the entire $10,000 directly to the doctor or hospital in India. Please have them reach out to my lawyer, Sikhumbuzo Mpofu at Mnangate & Associates, and he will handle it immediately. God bless.”
Chin’ono expressed his appreciation for Chivayo’s generosity and confirmed that he had informed Jessie’s family about the wonderful news.
