In Carolina, Mpumalanga, a 22-year-old lady is reportedly burn3d alive by her 34-year-old male lover. She is currently in critical condition in the hospital.
Before the woman’s neighbors could save her, it is reported that the man doused her in flammable liquid during the incident.
“The woman is currently fighting for her life in hospital,” said Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Colonel Donald Mdhluli.
“Meanwhile the men and women in blue responded swiftly, where they traced and arrested the male suspect, few hours later.”
A chilling cry for help pierced the darkness of Tuesday morning, shattering the silence around 3am. Neighbors were jolted awake by the desperate screams of a woman, prompting an immediate response to the distress call.
“When they went out to investigate, they saw a woman in agony, inside the flames of fire whilst her male companion was busy pouring her with some liquid from a two-litre container,” Mdhluli said.
“When he realised that the neighbours were coming to her rescue, the man abandoned what he was doing then fled the scene. The neighbours did their best to extinguish the fire while the female victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment.”
Following the disturbing incident, authorities were notified, and a formal case of attempted m_rder has been registered, paving the way for a thorough investigation into the alarming events.
