A South African woman, Alkebulan Azania, has shared a heartbreaking story about the illness and eventual d3ath of her son after he consumed a drink at a family gathering.
In a poignant Facebook post, Azania recounted how this drink seemingly transformed into a parasite that preyed on her son’s blood for two years before he passed away seven months ago.
According to her, the “creature” moved within her son’s body much like a fetus, ultimately leading to his untimely d3ath. “I buried a son who ingested a drink at a family ceremony, only to have it turn into a parasite that drained his blood for two years, causing him to resemble a pregnant woman,” she wrote.

Despite seeking medical help, hospitals conducted various tests and found no discernible issues, while her son’s condition continued to deteriorate, leaving him looking like a “walking skeleton.” Traditional healers also identified that something was feeding on his blood but were unable to eliminate it.
“Before he succumbed to this affliction, the creature was thrumming within him like a lively fetus, just when I thought he was improving,” she said. “It ultimately decided to strangle him when I believed he was on the mend.”
“It has been seven months since his passing, and I am sharing this story as a reminder that not every food served at gatherings is safe for consumption.”
