A 30-year-old Ghanaian woman, identified as Afia, has taken to social media to share her distressing experience involving her former landlord.
In an emotional video that has captured widespread attention, Afia accuses her landlord of breaking promises made during their relationship.
Afia, who rented an apartment from the landlord—whose identity has not been disclosed—reveals that the situation began when the landlord showed romantic interest in her.
Claiming to be a divorcee, the landlord allegedly made enticing promises, including a three-year rent-free extension and exemption from utility bills, in exchange for entering into a relationship with him.
Despite initial assurances, Afia soon discovered that the landlord’s claims of being divorced were false.
She was shocked to find that his wife had unexpectedly returned to their home, exposing the landlord’s deceit. Feeling betrayed and disillusioned, Afia decided to end the relationship and move out of the apartment.
In her video, Afia tearfully recounts the emotional and financial turmoil caused by the landlord’s actions. She demanded a refund for two years’ worth of rent paid under false pretenses.
