According to Free State police, a woman who has been evading capture since September is the main suspect in the death of her husband, who was discovered to have been st@bbed thirty times. The 38-year-old lady has an arrest warrant issued for her.
Three persons, including the wife’s brother, have since been taken into custody by the police. According to Free State police spokeswoman Sgt. Mahlomola Kareli, they were notified that on September 15, Halimmah Thamando Mnyobisi dropped her wounded spouse Fezile off at a nearby hospital.
When Fezile arrived at the facility, he was pronounced de@d. According to Kareli, initial inquiries showed that Fezile had sustained around 30 st@b wounds to his torso.
In H1-Section, Botshabelo, he added, it was also proven that he had been attacked close to Sechaba-se-maketse Combined School.
“Police in Botshabelo received information from the local hospital about a complaint of murder. A patrol vehicle was dispatched to the hospital and on arrival a report was given that the 35-year-old male was brought to hospital by his wife in a private vehicle and was declared de@d on arrival.
“Three suspects were arrested after warrants of their arrests were issued. Vusumuzi Daniel Nqele 43, and Moeketsi Innocent Manko, 35, were arrested on November 8 for murder and conspiracy to m_rder, while the deceased’s brother-in-law Abdool Thamando, 35, [was arrested later],” said Kareli.
