A 22-year-old woman from Chiwaridzo, Kudzanai Waenderwa, appeared before the Bindura Magistrates’ Court facing serious charges of unlawful entry in aggravated circumstances.
The incident occurred on September 9, 2024, around 11:00 PM, when Waenderwa allegedly intruded into the home of a 29-year-old woman in Homelink, Bindura, claiming to be the girlfriend of the complainant’s husband.
Once inside, she forcibly made her way into the complainant’s b3droom and insisted on spending the night, despite being ordered to leave.
In a fit of aggression, Waenderwa began to physically a$sault the complainant, striking her with open hands and fists multiple times.
This brutal att@ck caused the complainant, who was pregnant, to flee her home in fear for her safety.
Tragically, as a result of the ass@ult, the complainant suffered a miscarriage, adding to the gravity of Waenderwa’s actions.
The court has taken a stern view of the situation, ultimately sentencing Waenderwa to three years in prison, with one year suspended for five years on the condition of good behavior.
As a result, she will serve an effective two-year sentence behind bars, reflecting the serious implications of her unlawful conduct.
