During a recent session at the Harare Civil Court, Tatenda Ndaradzi filed for a protection order against her ex-boyfriend, Tinotenda Ronjedzai.
She alleges that he has been making threats to share !nt!mate photographs of her with her coworkers.
The magistrate, Meenal Naratom, approved the request, making it clear that any attempts by Tinotenda to act upon these threats would be considered illegal.
Throughout the hearing, Tatenda conveyed her frustration and distress regarding the situation, detailing how his behavior has negatively impacted her life.
“He frequently sends me threats, even going so far as to say he will run me over with his vehicle,” she recounted as reported by H Metro.

She also mentioned that his messages are troubling her parents, disrupting their tranquility.
A significant issue for her was the threat to publicly circulate her private photos among their workplace, which she believed was intended to humiliate her and harm her professional standing.
“It’s unreasonable for him to want me to lose my job. We’ve parted ways; he should respect my autonomy,” Tatenda argued as she requested the court’s intervention for her safety.
Tinotenda was present during the hearing and did not contest the claims against him. Instead, he pledged to adhere to the protection order and ensure that he would not continue to harass Tatenda or her family.
