Source reports that on 25 June 2022, Shingi Munyeza agreed to sell his house to Connect Microfinance Zambia Limited. The deal also included selling all his property, including chairs and fridges, for US$10,630.
Connect Microfinance Zambia Limited paid for the house and properties in full on 17 July. Munyeza sold off the household furniture and items for cash. In a surprising twist, the former Presidential advisor started renting the same Borrowdale Brooke mansion in August 2023 for US$1,500 a month.
Connect Microfinance Zambia Limited only sprung into action after Former Seed Co. public relations manager Marjorie Mutemererwa attached Munyeza’s house. Munyeza and his wife got a US$100k loan from Mutemererwa in January 2023 and failed to repay it.

Harare High Court judge David Mangota had ordered Munyeza and his wife, Wilma, to repay the US$100k debt they owed to Mutemererwa.
When Mutemererwa attached the Borrowdale Brooke house, Connect Microfinance Zambia Limited then revealed that it owned the house in question:
“Connect Microfinance Zambia is aware that Wilma Munyeza was served a writ of execution by the office of the Sheriff for Zimbabwe on 27 July 2023 with respect to judgment granted by the honourable court in favour of Marjorie Mutemererwa against Shingi and Wilma cited above on 20 July 2023.
“Connect Microfinance Zambia acquired the property from Shingi Munyeza at the same time as they acquired the immovable property on 6 October 2022. It seeks an order declaring the attached moveable assets, which are owned by the Claimant, to be the Claimant’s property and not supposed to be the defendant’s. Based on the foregoing the Claimant prays that the attached property be released from attachment.”
