Political activist and reowned investigative journalist Hopewell Chin’ono said stop spreading Zanu PF propaganda to demoralize citizens by claiming that Zanu PF have two-thirds majority in Zimbabwean parliament.
The journalist, took his X (formerly twitter) handle account and posted the following:
Let me start by helping you understand that ZANUPF DOESN’T have two-thirds majority in the Zimbabwean parliament to change and amend a constitution.
STOP spreading ZANUPF propaganda to demoralise citizens, you need two-thirds majority in both Houses of Parliament to amend the constitution, ZANUPF DOESN’T have two-thirds majority in both houses!
Before you spread ZANUPF propaganda, research by simply asking those who are acquainted with the facts!
President Mnangagwa can only get a third term illegally because even if ZANUPF had two-thirds majority, an amendment can’t benefit the incumbent, it can only benefit someone who comes after the incumbent.
Those are the facts, DON’T repeat lies packed in propaganda lenses by others with their political motives.
This comes after Zanu PF won the majority of the by-elections which were held in December last year and also in February last month to fill the vacancies which were made by the imposter Sengezo Tshabangu who re-called CCC MPs from the parliament.
