A Member of Parliament for the Mount Darwin East constituency, Honorable Dzidzai Butau, was involved in a tragic head-on collision on Thursday night near Bindura.
According to reports, Hon. Dzidzai Butau was driving a Toyota Hilux along the Harare-Mukumbura highway when he collided with a Honda CR-V traveling in the opposite direction.
“The MP had a head-on collision with a Honda CR-V last night (5th December 2024). Both vehicles only had the drivers in them,” a source reported.
Both drivers escaped with minor injuries. The accident has been attributed to speeding. On Friday morning, the acting Mashonaland Central police spokesperson, Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha, was contacted for comment but stated that he had not yet received the report.
