Zimbabwe’s power utility, ZESA, has initiated the disconnection of all tower lights in Bulawayo as part of its transition from a post-paid to a prepaid model.
This disruption has led to rumors and concerns among Bulawayo residents regarding safety in their neighborhoods and prolonged darkness in the streets.
According to ZESA, the transition is anticipated to last for a month, and they had informed the town council in advance of these changes.
