The World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) board and secretariat has sent a message of condolences to the Manduna family after the passing on of the Director of the Zimbabwe National Association of the Deaf, Ms Sitambeni Manduna, this Wednesday in Harare.
In a statement, WFD President Joseph Murray said they knew Ms Manduna as a strong advocate for people with hearing impairment at a national level.
Mr Murray said the late Ms Manduna who devoted much of her life to breaking barriers for the local deaf community, will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Mourners are gathered at Number 19, Mutsvubvu Road in Mufakose.
Burial is set for Gatsi Village in Kutama, Zvimba District on Friday.
