Newsreportzim.com has learnt from a tweet by Advocate Nelson Chamisa that within a space of five years, Zimbabwe will be a Jewel if it is only in right hands.

There is so much potential all around. Spaghetti roads, Bullet trains, a green revolution & Agrarian reform.

Zimbabwe cannot skip phases; for it to be a ‘jewel’, sacrifices have got to be made. You can not turn a country into a ‘jewel’ by running an economy on foreign currency. Herein lies the argument that separates men from boys. Spaghetti roads, Bullet trains, a green revolution & Agrarian reform; are all cost centers that needs funding. And so, first things first – currency reforms. Anything else is fantasy of living on Alice Wonderland.

Unfortunately, naturally a people will not give up a stronger currency like the US dollar on its global universal value for a domestic lower value currency; whether it’s ED or you in office. This is how the political economy works. Not ending the US dollar is not an option.
