Godfrey Huseni, a 59-year-old credit officer at ZIMNAT Financial Services, appeared before a Harare magistrate yesterday to face charges of defrauding his employer of at least US$83,000.
The allegations state that Huseni attached fake documents on behalf of clients, with varying amounts being transferred to their accounts before the clients withdrew the funds.
ZIMNAT Financial Services became aware of the fraud after discovering that Huseni had processed loans without following the company’s credit policy.
Tt was revealed that Huseni had been forging loan documents for several clients, resulting in significant financial losses for the company.
