The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a statement confirming that investigations are underway in connection with a reported break-in at the office of Honourable Tongai Mnangagwa, the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, in Harare between July 5 and 8 2024.
Unidentified burglars made off with unknown items after breaking into the office of Deputy Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Tongai Mnangagwa, at the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) building in Harare on July 8th, 2024.
The break-in was confirmed by the Deputy Minister himself on Tuesday morning, revealing that the suspects gained entry to the office through the ceiling.
According to the statement, the break-in allegedly occurred during a period of 72 hours, and the police are working to gather more information and evidence to identify the perpetrators and determine the motives behind the incident.
The ZRP is urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed something suspicious during this period to come forward and assist in their investigation.
The break-in at Honourable Mnangagwa’s office is being treated as a serious crime, and the ZRP is committed to ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice.
