The Zimbabwe Republic Police has issued a stern warning to illegal occupants of mining sites, those involved in destruction of land and vegetation activities, and individuals engaging in criminal acts to vacate Mazowe Mine Lease 35, which covers areas near ZRP Mazowe up to Concession.
The eviction notice and order was issued by the Government through the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development.
The areas affected by the eviction notice include land and vegetation around ZRP Mazowe up to Concession, with a deadline set from July 6th to July 13 2024.
The police have given a strict warning to all illegal occupants and individuals perpetuating criminal activities to take heed of the notice and vacate the area by the given period.
The police says that they will ensure that the law takes its course on anyone who defies the government’s directive or commits criminal activity under the guise of mining syndicates or groups.
The public is urged to cooperate with police officers as they move in to maintain law and order.
The police are appealing to all parties involved to respect the law and desist from engaging in any illegal activities.
