The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has announced that two suspects, including a Chinese national, will be arrested in connection with a disturbing incident at Makanga Mine in Bindura.
A viral video showed the suspects torturing two locals, accusing them of ste@ling diesel. The police have identified the suspects and victims and are conducting investigations.

The video sparked widespread outrage, depicting the Chinese national, a manager at the mine, tying up the workers and lifting them with a frontend loader while repeatedly flogging them in front of their colleagues.
The police statement confirms that the incident occurred on July 13, 2024, and assures that justice will be served.
