Former Zvimba East Legislator Oliver Mutasa has approved the government’s initiative of reintroducing the National youth service.
In a press statement the former legislator highlighted that that for the initiative to be effect and successful there is need for buy in from the Nation or it will suffer the same fate as the over versions.
His endorsement of the National Youth service programme comes weeks after President Mnangagwa relaunched the controversial National Youth Service (NYS) programme at Nhakiwa Vocational Training Centre in Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe, Mashonaland East Province.
Addressing thousands of young people who attended the event, President Mnangagwa said his administration has demonstrated its commitment to the youth by appointing young people in key decision-making positions and that the role of this youth was to instill patriotism and discipline among youths.
