Rapper 50 Cent has dropped a bombshell on X and accused fellow rapper and record label owner Diddy of killing Tupac.
Tupac Shakur was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on September 7, 1996. He was in Las Vegas, Nevada, attending the Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Seldon boxing match at the MGM Grand Hotel.
After the event, Tupac and his entourage got into a car and were driving on the Las Vegas Strip when a vehicle pulled up alongside them at a traffic light. Gunfire erupted from the other vehicle, and the shooter hit Tupac multiple times. His crew rushed him to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries and died on September 13, 1996, at the age of 25.
On 29 September, Las Vegas police arrested Duane Keith Davis, also known as Keffe D for the murder ofTupac. A grand jury indicted him on one count of murder with a deadly weapon. Police say he was the mastermind behind the shooting that killed Shakur on September 7, 1996, in Las Vegas.
He allegedly passed the gun to his nephew, Orlando Anderson, who was the actual shooter. Anderson died in 1998 in a gang-related shootout. In a 2019 memoir, Keefe D himself confessed that he supplied the firearm used in the fatal drive-by shooting.
50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson has fingered Diddy as the one who hired men to plan and hoot Tupac. The rapper made these claims on his X account. He tweeted:
“Damn so pac got lined by brother love. LOL Time to Lawyer up, sh*t might get sticky.”
50 Cent is not the first rapper to implicate Diddy in the killing of Tupac. In the diss track Killshot, aimed at Machine Gun Kelly, Eminem said:
“But, Kells, the day you put out a hit is the day Diddy admits that he put the hit out that got Pac killed, ah!”
However, at the end of the song, Eminem said:
“And I’m just playin’, Diddy / You know I love you.
