Zululand Mayor Cllr Thulasizwe Buthelezi is once again embroiled in a s3x sc@ndal after 6 women were reportedly dismissed for allegedly rejecting his advances.
The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) leader and reverend has been accused of multiple s3xual @ssault incidents which has been ongoing for the past 2-years.
Cllr Buthelezi denies the allegations against him, labelling the claims a mere smear campaign that was orchestrated since he became Mayor in 2017.
However, the African National Congress (ANC) in Mzala Nxumalo Region says their office has damning voicenotes which implicate Zululand Mayor Cllr Thulasizwe Buthelezi in the s3x sc@ndal.
The ANC says the Mzala Nxumalo Region offices has been flooded with calls from concerned members of society regarding the alleged ongoing cases of s3xual m!sconduct involving Cllr Buthelzi.
In January 2024, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in KwaZulu-Natal said the party would open a case of th3ft and put forward a Motion of No Confidence against Zululand District Municipality Mayor Cllr Thulasizwe Buthelezi after R33 million was illegally withdrawn from the municipal account.
