Zimbabwean millionaire Sir Wicknell Chivayo has claimed that musician Thomas Mapfumo is seeking to arrange a meeting with him through Simba Chikanza from @ZimEye.
This development comes in the wake of Chivayo’s offer to provide Mapfumo with a house and a new car.
Chivayo, a well-known businessman, has made headlines for his extravagant lifestyle and controversial statements in the past.
His recent offer to Thomas Mapfumo, a legendary Chimurenga music artist, is seen by some as an attempt to extend his influence into the entertainment industry.
Thomas Mapfumo, who has been in self-imposed exile since 2004, has not publicly commented on Chivayo’s claims.
However, earlier this year, he rejected similar offers of a luxury car and a home, stating that he is “not susceptible to bribery.”
