The English Premier League club, West Ham United is reportedly keen to bring back the high-rated France international midfielder N’Golo Kante in the Premier League after they have approached Al Ittihad to ask about him as top target.
The Hammers are eager to sign a defensive midfielder after Kalvin Phillips did not live up to expectations during a loan spell from Manchester City last season and his deal was not made permanent.
According to Fabrizio, the Hammers has targeted the French international and talks are reportedly ongoing between the two clubs.
The Saudi Pro League gaints, Al Ittihad currently no intention to sell Kanté, considered as key player and top professional.
Kanté moved to Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023 after an injury-hit 12 months at Stamford Bridge, during which he struggled to maintain fitness. Kante left the Blues after seven years and he helped Chelsea to won it’s second UEFA Champions league in 2021.
West Ham United’s new manager, Julen Lopetegui, is a long-term admirer of Kanté’s and wanted to sign the him during his brief spell in charge at Real Madrid.
